Kitty Brodie assisted us with the sale of our house in the British Properties and the purchase of a townhouse in North Vancouver. In both of these transactions we found her to be wise, knowledgeable, honest and incredibly hard-working. She gave us excellent advice about the timing of our sale, assisted us in getting the house ready for market, pushed us when we needed to be pushed, and listened to what we wanted. Her marketing of our house was aggressive and thorough. When considering offers, her advice was sound. We ended up getting well over asking, due to her negotiating skills.
When we were looking for townhouses, Kitty made sure we were well-informed about the neighborhoods we were looking at, taking the time to show us many places so we would be more familiar with the market. She was excellent at gaging our reactions to places so that she could narrow down the options to find exactly what we wanted. She was thorough in her research into buildings and stratas, and she had useful advice about the pros and cons of the places we were considering. We trusted Kitty's understanding of the market and of our needs, and she found us exactly the place we were looking for.

She was very professional, friendly, compassionate, and actually seemed to care about our “unique” situation. … Mum had to move into a care home and she was very sad to have to leave her home of over 45 years. I recently had the pleasure of having Kitty sell my house. She did a great job, especially in researching the market and in recommending a price that enabled me to sell when there was virtually no market activity. In fact, she had the opportunity to sell the house twice: Kitty continued to market the home even after we had an accepted offer. Her foresight paid off as the first deal collapsed through no fault on our side. Kitty acted immediately to ensure our property was top of mind for all the people who had shown an interest, resulting in a second satisfactory deal.
Kitty is very persistent, and worked hard to keep the second deal on track when an inspection showed some necessary but totally unexpected repairs were required. She coordinated the construction project that allowed the sale to complete to everyone’s satisfaction. I believe her ongoing communication with the buyers and their agent ensured that they were confident in the quality of the repairs, and kept them in the deal.
Kitty really went beyond marketing the property and stick handling the construction project. She discretely took care of a lot of the smaller details as well: from helping to clean the house, arranging for plant care, helping to sell a lot of furniture, and finding a conveniently located lawyer.
